Turkey burgers

Ingredients
- 500g of lean 100 % mince turkey meat / breast
- 3 springs onions
- 2 sweet plum or cherry tomatoes
- A few sprigs of fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper – season to taste / but remember not too much salt
- Wheat / gluten free buns
- Rapeseed or sunflower oil
Method
- Place the meat into a bowl, add the fresh thyme and season the mince with salt and pepper
- Mix everything together and then form the meat into 4 equal size patties.
- Chop the spring onions and pan fry them with a little of bit oil and water and cook until soft. (keep to one side)
- Heat up the grill pan to a medium heat
- Rub a little oil all over the patties – it is best to put oil on the meat rather on the grill
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for 6 to 8 mins on both sides
- Place the chopped tomatoes on the same pan and cook them for 1 min on each side
- Plate up – placing the spring onions and tomatoes on the meat
- You can toast your buns if that’s how you like them.
- If you can add a little mustard and low fat mayonnaise if you feel confident with your digestion but not too much
