Grilled tuna steaks with courgettes & potatoes

Serves 4 

Preparation & cooking time 35 mins 


  • Around 560g of fresh tuna steaks 
  • 400g of any small white potatoes 
  • 300g of courgettes chopped into thin strips  
  • 3 tbsp of olive or rapeseed oil 
  • Salt and pepper 


  •  Place the potatoes into a saucepan with water and boil until cooked (15 to 20 mins) 
  • Preheat a grill pan, season the tuna steaks and coat the steaks with 2 tbsp of oil making both side are covered. Its important to put the oil on the fish rather than on the grill pan 
  • Grill the tuna for over 3 mins on each side – turn it over when it easily comes off the grill pan, it should come off with little effort 
  • Put the tuna to one side and cover it with foil 
  • Coat the strips of courgettes with oil and season with salt and pepper 
  • Place the courgettes into the same grill pan and cook for 2 mins  
  • Strain the potatoes and serve
